		About Kindermusik

Through the sheer joy of music and movement, Kindermusik encourages villagepicture early learning and creativity in a Christian environment for children ages newborn to 7 years of age. With the program’s emphasis on process rather than performance, Kindermusik allows the teacher to create an atmosphere that nurtures the total development of the child, while laying the foundation for musical growth and later formal instruction.

Kindermusik’s philosophy is founded upon rigorous research and our fundamental beliefs:

	* Music nurtures a child’s cognitive, emotional, social, language, and physical development.


	* Every child should experience the joy, fun, and learning which music brings to life.


	Young people who participate in the arts for at least three hours on three days each week through at least one full year are:


	* 4 times more likely to be recognized for academic achievement

	* 3 times more likely to be elected to class office within their schools

	* 4 times more likely to participate in a math and science fair

		* 3 times more likely to win an award for school attendance

	* 4 times more likely to win an award for writing an essay or poem
