Perhaps one of the fairest ways to judge a program is to hear what previous participants are saying about it. The following are comments from a few of the many satisfied Kindermusik parents who have come through our program:
Mary Beth, Ian, and Declan, Grapevine: “How can I possibly thank you for all that you have instilled in both Ian and Declan: A stronger understanding and joy of music, an innate rhythm inside of them which they will have forever, and a wonderful start to their music education from a beautiful woman who has left a beautiful ‘musical loving note’ on my children.”
Bob, April, Rachel, Sarah Grace and Leah Hagen, Keller: “We love Kindermusik! It is so much fun and our children are learning valuable music and life skills with every session. I am constantly amazed at how effortlessly concepts such as rhythm, cooperation, self control and creativity are developed and fostered every week. In addition, the “at home” activities provided with the materials are fun and easy to do, requiring little more than everyday items around your home and, of course, a healthy dose of creativity! Mary Diane is a master teacher working with an exceptional curriculum and that makes Kindermusik our favorite activity.”
Hylie, Annie and Katie Voss, Grapevine: “Before we came to Grapevine, we knew how excellent the Kindermusik organization was, because we had participated in two other states where we lived. But when we joined Mrs. Morley's classes, we found something outstanding. Mary Diane Morley has built a program of amazing quality. My children have benefitted from the entire range of classes--as infants through the young child curriculum. At all levels, Mrs. Morley is confident and loving with the children, guiding them--and their parents--in developmentally appropriate ways. At home, Kindermusik CD's have exposed our kids to a wonderful range of music. Both of our children have grown confident musically from this musical foundation.
Leslie, Sarah and Will Walsh, Grapevine: “My children have been taking Kindermusik classes with Mary Diane Morley since they were six months old. They have blossomed with a love of music that is contagious. I would recommend Kindermusik classes to anyone that will listen.”
Krystal, Davis and Callie Zenoble, Southlake: “Mrs. Morley has played an important role in my children’s lives. With both of my children starting Kindermusik before they turned 1, they have developed great musical skills that have given them such a love of music. My son, Davis, completed the entire Kindermusik program and my daughter, Callie, is about to start her final stage of the program. I don’t know what our lives would be like without Mrs. Morley and the Kindermusik program. The love and dedication from Mrs. Morley over the years has been a true blessing. It has been amazing to see how my children developed at each level of the program. They progressed from just listening in the beginning, to leaving my lap to listen to a story on the blanket, to going to their first class without me being there. Mrs. Morley has been a part of each memory and I could not ask for a more amazing teacher to be teaching them. I can’t say enough about the Kindermusik program and Mrs. Morley”.
Jennifer, Joshua, and Jacob Lovelady, Highland Village: “We have tried Gymboree, local Parks and Rec music classes and various other activities but truly love Ms. Morley and our Kindermusik class most of all. I feel that the teacher is the most important part of Kindermusik (or any) class and Ms. Morley is exceptionally gifted at teaching. My 2.5 yr old twin boys love to go to “music class” and run to see Ms. Morley when we arrive. I can attribute our boys’ love for music, dancing and instruments largely to attending her class. She has done a wonderful job at ministering to and accommodating both my hearing impaired son and my son without any special needs. After attending classes for over a year now, I am finding that we are literally singing songs we learned in class every day! We are thankful for the opportunity to learn and grow with Ms. Morley and hope she plans on teaching all three of us for many years to come.
Julie and Jill Reed, Grapevine: “Jill and I started Kindermusik when she was 9 months old. I loved the opportunity to broaden the songs and games I could play with my daughter, as well as exposing her to instruments and other babies. The structure of the class was ideal to create a sense of continuity and to reinforce the elements of music being introduced. As we moved through each of the classes and levels, we both grew through the experience. The integration of books, quiet time and pretend play were all invaluable as tools I could use in and out of the class time along with the songs, games and CDs. At 4, Jill started to read and I credit Kindermusik, as well as daily reading at home, for enabling her to pick up reading at such a young age. At 7, my daughter has now learned to play the dulcimer, recorder and glockenspiel, all through the Kindermusik program. Mary Diane is a seasoned music teacher with passion for the kids and the content. Having experienced more than one program, I can say that she really stands apart in her dedication, presentation and commitment to the program.”
Carmen and Javed Drew, Grapevine: “I would highly recommend Mary Diane Morley's Kindermusik classes to any parent or grandparent. My grandson, Javed, and I have completed 2 semesters. He is 2 1/2 years old. His love of music and his fondness towards her has deepened over such a short period of time. As a grandparent, I have been amazed at what he has learned through music, story time, playful movements, and an introduction to many different instruments. I have loved every minute of it and so has Javed. We look forward to registering again.
Jennifer and Caden Richard, Grapevine: “Thank goodness for Mary Diane Morley. Not only is she a talented and skilled musician, she is also a mentor, friend and excellent parenting-strategist! Our son, Caden, loves music, & has been bopping-to-the-beat since he had the ability to bop. I learned about Kindermusik classes from a friend, and from the start, he was in love. He loved the time with Mommy, the time with music, the times when Ms. Morley turned the lights off and he and I would get in ‘the cave’ (under a table) together and listen to pretty music. Then, this past year, something changed for him. He moved up into the bigger-kids’ class, and wanted me to come into class with him. All the explaining and cajoling in the world didn’t matter to him. He would pout when I would sit outside the classroom, and pout when I would give in and sit inside the classroom. I was perplexed. How could a kid who loved Kindermusik so much, all of a sudden give me such attitude? I brought my concerns to Ms. Morley, and, in her kind, loving, wise way, she just encouraged me. She let me know that she had seen this a million times before, and that he would grow out of it. So we kept coming, and Caden kept pouting. I kept cajoling, & even took up bribing. Then, one day, Caden went inside the classroom all by himself. And he didn’t pout. Within a few weeks, he was back to his old dancing self. I am still so grateful for Ms. Morley’s wisdom, her kind-hearted approach & her guidance. She still encourages me with him – when my natural response is to jump up and down and make a big deal out of a victory – and he really doesn’t need or want that. She can see that all he needs is a quiet and sincere smile to feel approved. Maybe that’s what I love about her – she truly sees my son. With wise eyes and a gentle but firm heart, she teaches much more than just music.”
Kathryn V., Grapevine: “We love the classes, are starting in the second phase of the ‘Beginnings’ (now ‘Our Time’) class and plan on continuing into the ‘Young Child’ class as well. I highly recommend Kindermusik and especially Mary Diane.”
Carolyn K., Hurst: “Thank you for the inspiration you have been and continue to be for Avery and me. Our granddaughter continues to blossom under your guidance. Her love of music grows more intense daily.”
Jocelyn T., Grapevine: “You made such a difference in my Katie! She gained enough confidence to attend class on her own - a miracle in itself, but to our amazement she began taking the songs you taught in class and began picking them out on my mom’s old organ. She is now an awesome piano player...We are so proud of her - and you for all the lives you have touched. Thank you from the bottom of my heart!”
Mason & Gracie P., Keller: “It is so refreshing to be around someone who loves their job, and loves children so passionately.”
Sherry W., Grapevine: “You have been such a solid presence in Christopher’s life these past two years. The rise in his confidence has a lot to do with the respectful manner in which you treat him and with your expectations of him. Thank you for being such a great teacher with enthusiasm for your job and for the children. You are really good at what you do!”
Mary Ellen & Bob, Grapevine: What a time we’ve had! Eleven years of music, laughter, hope, and love. You have given our family hope for a life of music, hope for social interaction, hope for acceptance, hope for success, and hope for a future of joy and laughter with our girls. Thank you for everything!”
Jennifer M., North Richland Hills: “Thank you for all your hard work and dedication this past semester! You’re an amazingly gifted teacher with a contagious love for music, and I know that God is using you in a special way to touch the lives of all your students. Thanks for making Kindermusik such a fun and loving environment for Dylan.”
Paula T., Grapevine: “The ‘seeds’ of music you’ve planted in Annie have already blossomed. She loves music and when she sings, it’s on pitch and sounds so sweet. Annie loves math, science, anything analytical, puzzles, and board games. Her attention span is also longer than most 4-1/2 year olds. I firmly believe the music has been a big self-esteem builder for her.”
Ann W., Colleyville: “I cannot tell you how much I have appreciated you and Kindermusik. Allison and Audrey’s young lives have been touched by your love of music. They have grown to love and appreciate all kinds of music and I know that music will always be a big part of their lives.”
