Mary Diane Morley - Director/Teacher
    Downtown Grapevine Location
Honored to be Nominated by my Kindermusik
families for Grapevine Woman of the Year 2011

“God has blessed me with the greatest opportunity in the world.  I feel that He has placed me teaching          Kindermusik so that I can share my love of God and the joy of music with children and their parents.”

“I graduated from Texas Tech University with a Bachelor of Music Education degree (all-level certificate).  For the next few years, I taught pre-school through 8th grade music, followed by several years teaching private piano lessons.

In 1992, I opened Kindermusik of Grapevine in my home, but quickly outgrew that space.  We moved the studio to First Methodist Church of Grapevine in the fall of ’96, and have been blessed with the opportunity to touch the lives of hundreds of wonderful children and their families since then.  Because of this growth, our program has been named a Kindermusik Maestro studio, which is only awarded to the top 5% in the world.  I have been certified to teach all levels of the Kindermusik curriculum since 1992, and maintain a Level 2 Orff certification.

Apart from my professional work with Kindermusik, I have served as a volunteer at First Methodist Church of Grapevine in various capacities, including Children’s Choir Director, and Music Coordinator for Vacation Bible School.  Phil and I have been married for more than 35 years and have two married daughters, a son who is a recent graduate of Texas A&M (gig ‘em!), and one handsome young grandson.”

Kathleen Wayland - Teacher
        Colleyville
Location
Kathleen Wayland (Ms. Kat) has enjoyed the magic of music all her life. Her parents began sharing music with her before she could walk, giving her the best start in life. Having developed a lifelong love of music, Kathleen played the piano, played percussion in band, and sang in choirs all the way through college where she received her Bachelor of Music from the University of Texas in Austin. Kathleen has taught band, choir, orchestra, and elementary music for 15 years in public school and at her church.

After the arrival of her son, they began attending a Village class at Kindermusik of Grapevine taught by Mary Diane Morley. Kindermusik surprised Kathleen by providing not only excellent musical experiences, but also special bonding time, high quality home materials, and education about her son’s development in all areas.  Recognizing the potential of the Kindermusik program, Kathleen became licensed to share this wonderful experience with other families and opened Kindermusik with Kat! in the Fall of 2003. Her studio grew quickly and achieved Maestro status, placing it in the top 5% worldwide. After four years of successful operation in Colleyville, she moved her studio to New Braunfels.

Kathleen is excited to be back in the Grapevine/Colleyville area and to be teaching for Kindermusik of Grapevine at its  Colleyville location!
